Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Global SAP Development Lead is responsible for driving both strategic and tactical initiatives related to SAP applications and integrations. This includes defining development standards, collaborating with functional and business teams to design solutions that maximize SAP’s capabilities, and directing a team of developers across platforms such as BTP, ABAP, Web Dynpro and Fiori. The role also provides technical leadership for application integrations resulting from M&A, ensuring consistent design and execution across the SAP landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Ownership of all S4 HANA solution technical development including performance of quality checks, code reviews, and enforcing industry standard development practices
Continual evaluation of SAP technology and industry trends to determine their potential impact on Avanos’ ERP strategy
Recommend modern technologies as appropriate to drive application and business performance.
Provide leadership and work direction for a team of developers and integration specialists.
Perform code reviews, quality checks, and enforce industry-standard development practices for all ERP applications, data, and integrations.
Maintain complete project and solution development documentation.
Utilize an extensive IT Development knowledge reservoir at the domain level to support change management and business adoption of technologies.
Develop a deep understanding of all Avanos IT platforms and applications and their relationship to SAP S4.
Perform analysis of cross-functional and complex business requirements
Continually analyze the ERP environment to identify critical issues / opportunities and recommend solutions for improvement.
Collaborate with M&A project teams across the organization to develop recommendations for integrating acquired applications.
Collaborate extensively with Avanos IT application functional leads in developing and optimizing the ERP solution and its associated integrations to other systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
15+ years of SAP development experience across multiple platforms (BTP, ABAP, Web Dynpro, Fiori, etc.) including hands on experience implementing User Exits, ABAP Enhancements, Reports and transaction objects, Scripts, BAPIs, Web Services, IDocs, BTEs, BRF+, and multiple internal / external integration technologies.
Project and program management experience with implementations of diverse sizes across SAP and its modules
Ability to understand, document, and translate business needs into solution requirements.
Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in SAP implementations and solution optimization.
Ability to estimate the financial impact of solution architecture options and alternatives.
Ability to identify and analyze multiple solution options across a broad range of business problems.
Ability to collaborate with and engage a variety of stakeholders appropriately.
Experience working in a global organization across the full range of SDLC business processes: requirements, design, development, testing and deployment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of a global organization.
