Job Title: WM - Release Engineer - RHEL Migration

Location(s): Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite required)

• 5-7+ years overall Linux/Platform Engineering experience.
• 5+ years hands‑on Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and engineering.
• Direct experience with RHEL7 to RHEL9 migration projects.
• Strong platform modernization and automation background.
• Client‑facing communication skills.

• Execute migration of applications/services from RHEL7 to RHEL
  9.
• Resolve binary compatibility and library dependency issues.
• Build and compile open-source packages from source code.
• Troubleshoot package and dependency‑related issues and manage lifecycle of RPM packages.
• Refactor legacy container workflows from Docker to Podman.
• Architect and maintain Rancher‑managed Kubernetes environments and support migration to RHEL9 Universal Base Images (UBI).
• Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines using Groovy shared libraries.
• Build automation tools and API integrations using Python.
• Review vulnerability scan reports and remediate identified CVEs to ensure compliance with RHEL9 security standards and benchmarks.
• Maintain secure software supply chain practices.

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), especially RHEL
  9.
• Linux administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Package management and RPM lifecycle management.
• Binary compatibility and dependency resolution.
• Docker to Podman migration experience.
• Kubernetes administration;
  Rancher‑managed environments.
• RHEL9 Universal Base Images (UBI).
• Jenkins pipeline development, Groovy scripting, and shared libraries.
• Python scripting and automation.
• API integration development.
• Make, CMake, GCC build systems.
• Vulnerability remediation (CVE management) and security hardening.
• Ansible for large‑scale OS configuration and automation.

• RHEL9, Linux Engineering, Jenkins, Groovy, Python, Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker/Podman, Ansible, Vulnerability Remediation.

• Pure Linux support or system administrator profiles.
• Candidates lacking RHEL9 experience.
• No CI/CD or Jenkins engineering experience.
• No containerization/Kubernetes experience.
• No platform modernization or migration project experience.
