Monitoring Engineer
Alpharetta, GA Contract US Citizen, GC Holder, EAD and TN
Job Responsibilities:- Responsible for analyzing existing monitoring solutions, understanding the roles of the applications they cover, and configuring, developing, and enhancing those solutions during the Datacenter Migration.
- Under limited direction, expand and enhance monitoring, alerting, and reporting on our newly migrated platforms
- Participate in requirements gathering & scope discussions for applications or platforms being migrated that do not already have effective monitoring coverage
- Assist in the development, deployment, and refinement of monitoring standards
- 3-5 years of experience required (5+ Preferred)
- Work experience should indicate previous experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
- Tomcat Web development
- Java programming
- JavaScript programming
- Perl scripting
- Log Monitoring
- Infrastructure Monitoring
- Application & Performance Monitoring
- Network Monitoring
- Some experience with Databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
- Previous experience developing, deploying, and refining Dashboards, Alerts, & Reports
- A strong knowledge of the relationship between software and hardware interaction
- Strong writing & documentation skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft® Word & Excel
