What You'll Be Doing

The Vulnerability Management Engineering team is seeking an Infrastructure & Security Engineer II to support the deployment, automation, and operational management of enterprise vulnerability scanning infrastructure. This role is ideal for an engineer with foundational security and infrastructure experience who is ready to expand their expertise in vulnerability management, cloud technologies, networking, and automation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing vulnerability scanning platforms, supporting enterprise-scale deployments, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and developing automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and security coverage.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise vulnerability management infrastructure, including Tenable platforms and scanning technologies.
  • Supporting vulnerability scanning across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Configuring and maintaining scanning appliances, agents, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Diagnosing and resolving networking, DNS, routing, firewall, and connectivity issues impacting scan operations.
  • Developing and maintaining automation scripts to improve platform administration, reporting, deployment, and operational processes.
  • Assisting with scanner deployments and integrations across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.
  • Supporting vulnerability data collection, analysis, and reporting initiatives.
  • Partnering with Security Operations, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, and Application teams to ensure effective vulnerability coverage.
  • Participating in incident response and troubleshooting activities related to scanning infrastructure and security tooling.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and engineering standards.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, reliability, and automation.
What We're Looking For You'll Need To Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, security engineering, systems administration, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management platforms, preferably Tenable.io or similar technologies.
  • Experience with DNS, TCP/IP networking, routing, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience developing scripts using Python, Power Shell, Bash, or similar languages.
Even Better If You Have One Or More Of The Following:
  • Experience with enterprise vulnerability management programs.
  • Experience deploying and managing Tenable scanners and agents.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and cloud-native security concepts.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience with REST APIs and automation integrations.
  • Experience troubleshooting infrastructure and application connectivity issues.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL and data analysis concepts.
  • Security certifications such as Security+, GSEC, Tenable Certified Professional (TCP), or similar.
  • Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Focus on automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
