AVP, Technical Product Lead

Overview

Role Summary/

Purpose:

Technology Product Lead focused on delivering best-in-class products within the Specialty and Shared Services portfolio (including Secured Installment & Select Pay). Partner with Marketing to develop and execute a product roadmap with a year-over-year vision. Work with cross-functional teams to align stakeholders and lead technology-driven, innovative solutions that meet business growth, profitability, and customer needs. Primary focus on Secured Installment; secondary focus on Select Pay.

Own the entire product technology lifecycle from requirements gathering through build, testing, and release.

Engage with agile product development processes alongside product technology, UX designers, engineers, and data scientists to continuously refine the product based on user feedback and data analytics. Drive cross-functional collaboration to prioritize features against other initiatives. Support Business Development by ensuring consumer products technology is accurately represented in RFP responses and client-facing technology questions. Lead technology teams in a matrixed environment with clear milestones, risk indicators, measures of success, and contingencies.

Stay informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies impacting installment lending.

• Set and communicate technical product strategy and direction for the Specialty & Shared Services portfolio (primary: Secured Installment; secondary: Select Pay) aligned to growth, profitability, and customer needs.
• Translate business and marketing objectives into clear product requirements and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria; ensure shared understanding across delivery teams.
• Own end-to-end delivery across the product technology lifecycle: discovery/requirements, user stories, design/architecture alignment, build, testing, release, and post-launch support.
• Partner with engineering, UX, and data science in an agile environment to iteratively improve capabilities using customer feedback, operational insights, and data analytics.
• Drive cross-functional planning and prioritization to balance feature delivery with other enterprise initiatives, dependencies, and capacity constraints.
• Lead matrixed technology teams through structured execution plans including milestones, risk/issue management, success metrics, and contingency plans.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery by managing scope, trade-offs, and release readiness (including testing, controls, and documentation expectations).
• Support Business Development by providing accurate technical product positioning and input for RFP responses and client-facing technology questions.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation, and risk mitigation in installment lending.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience; or High School Diploma/GED and 9+ years of IT experience with relevant project management experience.
• Experience in product management, especially technical product management.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.

• Experience in credit card, consumer finance, or financial services industries; specifically within Secured Installment Loan.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives and projects in an Agile environment.
• Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing, and collaboration skills.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to develop actionable plans to drive business results.
• 5+ years of people leadership and team management experience.
• Demonstrated project management skills and advanced problem-solving abilities for fast-changing environments.
• P&L experience with understanding of business financials.
• Familiarity with Agile, Confluence, and Jira.
