Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring and management of the 5Q corporate and client networks.
- Analyze network problems, perform troubleshooting, issue isolation, incident response.
- Work with local resources and track problems through resolution.
- Provide technical assistance to team members requesting network/infrastructure support.
- Record customer and problem information in 5Q Partner’s ticketing system, update tickets with appropriate notes and time entry activities, escalates when necessary and close tickets with resolution details upon customer service restoration and validation.
- Perform triage, troubleshooting and break‑fix duties for technical infrastructure issues.
- Understand fundamentals behind the internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Firewalls, Switches, etc.).
- Understand IP Addressing, VLANs, Port Trunking, and Layer 3 routing.
- General knowledge of data center facilities and operation.
- Adhere to SOC 2 Type 2 compliance requirements.
- Understand and comply with 5Q Change Management Policies and Procedures.
- Meet or exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for response and resolution.
- Identify automation and continuous process improvement opportunities.
- Identify issues, trends, and system malfunctions.
- Have working knowledge of Network Monitoring and Management tools and processes.
- Work closely with carriers and 3rd‑Party vendors on issue identification and resolution.
- Experience with Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Experience with Power Shell, Python or other scripting language.
- Communicate at all levels, including clients, end users, 5Q Leadership & peers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in networking, routing, and infrastructure operations.
- Knowledge of company deployed and supported network infrastructure.
- Experience with a variety of network devices (i.e. Meraki, Cisco ASA, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, etc.).
- Ability to learn and support new technologies.
- Requires sound interpersonal skills.
- Excellent and positive “Can Do” attitude.
- Passion for and commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) in a NOC environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Willing to travel < 10%.
