Data & Analytics Reporting Analyst

Overview

Aon is looking for a Data & Analytics Reporting Analyst. This role will be based in the Alpharetta, GA office three days a week with two remote days.

• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
• Translate complex data and analyses into clear, actionable insights and executive-ready presentations/decks.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver analytics solutions that address their needs.
• Validate data accuracy, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot reporting issues.
• Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from business and leadership.
• Document data definitions, reporting logic, and processes.

• 3-4 years of experience in a data/analytics, business intelligence, or reporting role.
• Strong SQL skills (querying, joins, aggregations, performance awareness).
• Hands-on experience with reporting/BI tools (Power BI strongly preferred).
• Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) for analysis and presentations.
• Financial services or finance-related domain experience (e.g., portfolios, revenue, P&L, KPIs, financial metrics).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and data quality.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to tell a clear story with data for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment and collaborating across business and technology teams.
• Familiarity with other analytics or visualization tools is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, Finance, or a related field
