Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases for web and desktop applications to ensure application quality and stability.
- Analyze business and functional requirements to develop comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using Jira or similar issue tracking tools.
- Participate in test planning, test case creation, regression testing, and release validation activities.
- Validate new features against business and product requirements.
- Perform basic API validation and database verification to support application testing.
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing automated test scripts where applicable.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams throughout the Agile software development lifecycle.
- Perform smoke testing, release verification, and post-deployment validation activities.
- Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot, validate, and resolve software defects.
- Ensure adherence to established quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate testing documentation, defect reports, and test execution results.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience performing manual testing of web and desktop applications.
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and regression test suites.
- Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira.
- Basic knowledge of API testing and database validation techniques.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Experience using API testing tools such as Postman or REST clients.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Knowledge of web development technologies and database environments.
- Experience supporting mobile application testing or photo management applications.
