Position Overview :

Join Siemens Mobility and help shape the future of manufacturing through the power of digitalization, automation, and smart factory technology. In this highly visible, hands-on role, you will serve as the key technical bridge between Operations and IT—turning real factory challenges into secure, scalable solutions that improve how work gets done. You will design and maintain robotic process automations, custom data-mining applications, analytics tools, SAP reporting solutions, and system integrations that reduce manual effort, strengthen data accuracy, and help leaders make faster, better-informed decisions.

You will also play a critical role in supporting the factory’s operational technology environment by connecting production equipment, shop-floor systems, networked devices, and enterprise applications. Based primarily on site, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems close to the operation, understands the impact of technology on production, and wants to make a measurable difference in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Translate manufacturing and operational needs into secure, supportable digital, automation, and IT/OT solutions.
  • Design, program, maintain, and improve robotic process automations, custom data-mining applications, analytics tools, and SAP reporting solutions.
  • Integrate production equipment, shop-floor systems, networked devices, factory data sources, and enterprise applications.
  • Provide advanced on-site troubleshooting for SAP, OT, automation, and factory data issues while minimizing production disruption.
  • Maintain technical ownership of factory digitalization initiatives and reduce reliance on manual transactions through sustainable system improvements.
This posting outlines the primary responsibilities of the role but is not all-inclusive; additional duties may be assigned in alignment with business needs.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • High school diploma or GED, Computer Science degree
  • Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and factory operations.
  • Experience with SAP reporting and troubleshooting in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience developing robotic process automations, custom applications, data-mining solutions, or analytics tools.
  • Experience integrating operational technology, shop-floor systems, networked devices, and enterprise applications.
  • Ability to provide advanced on-site technical support and coordinate real-time troubleshooting and implementation activities on the factory floor.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Purpose is the reason a company exists. It's not about making money or selling products - it's the deeper "why" behind everything we do. It answers the question:
What problem are we solving? What positive change are we creating?

For Siemens, our purpose has been clear for over 175 years: We create technology to transform the everyday, for everyone.

The world needs technologies that work. Technologies that matter. Technologies that solve today's challenges and help shape a better tomorrow. And that's exactly what we build. By bringing together the real world (factories, buildings, power grids, trains) with the digital world (software, data, AI, digital twins), we help our customers become more competitive, resilient, and sustainable.

Our technology is everywhere - in trains and transportation, we help move people faster, safer, and more sustainably.
