RoleThis role is a senior leader within Mativ’s North American Supply Chain organization, responsible for driving end-to-end supply chain performance across a four-site manufacturing network (three U.S. sites and one Mexico site). Reporting directly to the VP, Supply Chain North America, this leader owns key supply chain outcomes including service, inventory, cost, and capacity performance, while shaping and executing the broader supply chain strategic roadmap.
The Senior Supply Chain Manager directly leads four site-level Supply Chain leaders and works closely with Operations, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Business Unit leadership to ensure supply chain strategies are aligned to business priorities. This role plays a critical role in enabling effective S&OP, supply planning, and short- and long-term capacity planning across the network.
Responsibilities- Supply Chain Performance and KPI Ownership:
Own and drive supply chain performance across assigned sites, including inventory management, service levels, cost reduction, and working capital improvement. - Establish clear performance expectations, track results, and intervene as needed to ensure KPI targets are met.
- Identify systemic gaps and performance risks across the network and lead corrective action plans.
- Provide clear, concise performance updates and insights to executive supply chain and business leadership.
- People Leadership and Site Engagement:
Lead, coach, and develop four site-level Supply Chain leaders, ensuring strong execution, engagement, and succession planning. - Foster alignment and best-practice sharing across sites while respecting site-specific constraints and opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted partner to Plant Managers and site leadership teams on supply chain strategy and execution.
- Build a strong bench of supply chain talent capable of supporting current and future business needs.
- S&OP and Supply Planning Leadership:
Facilitate and support the Supply components of the S&OP process across the network. - Ensure clear alignment between demand, production plans, inventory strategies, and capacity constraints.
- Drive proactive identification and mitigation of supply risks that could impact service or financial performance.
- Partner closely with Demand Planning, Sales, and Operations to ensure planning decisions support business objectives.
- Capacity Planning (Short and Long Term):
Own short- and long-term capacity planning across assigned sites, in partnership with Operations and Finance. - Ensure robust capacity models are in place to support growth, product mix changes, and network optimization decisions.
- Support capital planning by providing supply chain insight into capacity needs and trade-offs.
- Drive disciplined scenario planning and risk assessment related to capacity and network constraints.
- Supply Chain Strategy and Roadmap Execution:
Lead and execute the supply chain strategic roadmap for the assigned network, aligned to broader North American and enterprise priorities. - Translate strategic initiatives into clear, actionable plans with defined milestones and accountability.
- Identify opportunities for process standardization, simplification, and system enablement across sites.
- Support transformation initiatives related to S&OP maturity, planning tools, data visibility, and operational excellence.
- Cross Functional
Collaboration:
Partner with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Customer Service to balance service, cost, and inventory trade-offs. - Provide supply chain leadership input into business planning, commercial decisions, and network strategy.
- Serve as a key escalation and decision-making point for supply chain issues affecting customers or business performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing environments.
