Strategic Procurement Lead

Procurement Manager

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and purchasing activities across North America, with a strong focus on inland transportation and logistics. This role also oversees purchasing for the Hampshire plant, covering raw materials, MRO, services, and capital investments, while operating within a global procurement network.

Responsibilities:

• Lead logistics and inland transportation procurement, including freight rate negotiations with carriers, forwarders, and 3PLs across North America.
• Define sourcing strategies, manage RFIs/RFQs, evaluate suppliers using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and negotiate contracts to signature.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk through KPIs, audits, and corrective action plans.
• Oversee purchasing activities for the Hampshire plant (raw materials, spare parts, maintenance services, Cap Ex).
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, legal requirements, quality standards, and CSR commitments.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in Purchasing, with hands-on experience negotiating freight rates and transportation contracts.
• Strong understanding of logistics markets, carrier management, and transportation cost drivers.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a global, matrix environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP strongly preferred) and high ethical standards.
