About the roleThe Senior Outbound Distribution Supervisor will lead outbound fulfillment operations at the Johns Creek, Georgia, distribution center, overseeing the timely, accurate and compliant distribution of medical devices across the United States and internationally.
Work model, sponsorship, relocationPosition is based on‑site at Johns Creek, Georgia. This role does not offer visa sponsorship. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Occasional weekend and holiday support may be required.
- Lead, coach and develop frontline supervisors and warehouse associates while fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic leadership for outbound warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, partial shipments and domestic and international LTL fulfillment.
- Drive operational excellence by achieving safety, quality, service, productivity and cost objectives while ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles, root cause analysis and operational data.
- Partner with Global Supply Chain, Planning, Transportation, Quality, Engineering and Customer Service to resolve complex operational challenges and improve end‑to‑end processes.
- Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify trends, develop action plans and reach department and business performance goals.
- Lead workforce planning activities, including staffing strategies, labor planning, scheduling and overtime management.
- Champion a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety policies, quality systems and FDA regulatory requirements.
- Lead the implementation of strategic operational initiatives, automation projects and technology enhancements for efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure data integrity across operational systems, including SAP, Manhattan, Kronos and Labor Management Systems.
- Supervise departmental equipment, automation assets and facility resources to maximize operational effectiveness.
- Manage department budgets, operating expenses and productivity initiatives while identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
- Lead performance management activities, including coaching, employee development, succession planning, talent reviews, evaluations, corrective actions and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures, standard work instructions and company policies.
- Build strong cross‑functional relationships and communicate business priorities across all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain or warehouse operations, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading supervisors, team leads or large operational teams.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting high‑volume distribution or fulfillment operations.
- Experience managing operational metrics, labor planning, staffing and departmental budgets.
- Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems, Labor Management Systems and ERP platforms.
- Experience with commercial invoice documentation and LTL shipment management.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple operational and reporting systems simultaneously.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in distribution or supply chain operations.
- Experience leading operations within a regulated manufacturing or medical device environment.
- Experience with SAP, Manhattan or comparable Warehouse Management Systems.
- Experience applying Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
- Experience leading warehouse automation or material handling system implementations.
- Experience managing international shipping and export compliance.
- Experience with Labor Management Systems.
- Medical device distribution experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Minimum Salary: $71,500
Maximum Salary: $135,800
Compensation will vary based on location, experience and qualifications. Variable compensation may be available for exempt or non‑exempt roles.
