Are you ready to build your career by joining a multi-national Med Tech organization. If so, our client is hiring an Import Customs Specialist. Position Type:

- Knowledge of U.S. import regulations and customs processes
- Understanding of customs entry requirements, tariff classification, valuation, and country of origin principles
- Working knowledge of USMCA certification requirements and free trade agreement administration
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel)
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
- Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to operational excellence and compliance
- Understanding of current events in the importing sector of the United States
- Experience with broker management
- Understanding of entry operations guidelines when entering the US
- Ability to assign a HTS to a product
- Support the U.S. Customs team in executing import compliance and customs operations activities
- Monitor import transactions to ensure compliance with CBP regulations and internal policies
- Review and maintain tariff classifications (HTS), customs valuation information, and import documentation
- Assist with data analysis and compliance monitoring initiatives
- Investigate and support resolution of customs clearance delays, shipment holds, and entry discrepancies
- Maintain compliance documentation and support audit readiness activities
- Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, and other business functions for customs compliance activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, operational efficiency, and data quality
- Monitor regulatory changes and escalate potential compliance concerns to leadership
- Support the administration of USMCA and other Free Trade Agreement programs
- Review and maintain supplier USMCA certifications and supporting documentation
- Assist with supplier solicitation efforts and record retention requirements related to USMCA claims
- Support qualification reviews and validation of information required for preferential duty treatment
- Maintain knowledge of USMCA certification requirements, rules of origin, and documentation standards
- Partner with internal stakeholders to maximize compliant utilization of USMCA benefits
- 3 years of Import Compliance, Customs, or Trade Compliance experience
- Local candidate preferred for a hybrid role
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- Experience with U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, broker management, and import documentation
- USMCA, Free Trade Agreements, Customs Broker, or Entry Writer experience
- Strong analytical, communication, and Excel skills
