the Team
The Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team helps AXIS make informed supplier, sourcing, contracting, and purchasing decisions. The team partners with business stakeholders to manage supplier value, improve procurement discipline, support contract governance, and identify opportunities to reduce cost, risk, and complexity across the organization.
How does this role contribute to our collective success?The Strategic Sourcing Operations Lead supports effective procurement decision-making by providing analysis, sourcing coordination, supplier research, contract administration, and stakeholder support across assigned spend categories. The role helps AXIS improve savings visibility, contract discipline, supplier performance, and procurement governance while building future capability within the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement function.
What will you do in this role?- Supporting Category Managers with category plans, sourcing pipelines, savings trackers, supplier documentation, and leadership‑ready updates.
- Coordinating sourcing activities by managing documentation, supplier communications, timelines, bid analysis, stakeholder meetings, and recommendation materials.
- Analyzing spend, supplier, contract, and pricing information to identify savings, consolidation, risk reduction, and process improvement opportunities.
- Managing contract administration activities by tracking renewals, expiration dates, notice periods, pricing obligations, service commitments, and key contractual requirements.
- Preparing contract summaries, renewal options, supplier comparison materials, total cost summaries, dashboards, reports, and other decision‑support materials.
- Conducting supplier research and market scans to identify potential vendors, alternative supply options, emerging providers, market trends, and supplier risks.
- Supporting supplier onboarding, due diligence, performance tracking, issue follow‑up, supplier business reviews, and compliance documentation.
- Serving as a day‑to‑day procurement operations contact for assigned internal stakeholders and helping them navigate sourcing, contracting, onboarding, and procurement processes.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records, templates, process documentation, trackers, systems data, and audit‑ready supporting materials.
- Escalating complex commercial, contractual, supplier performance, governance, or risk‑related matters to Category Managers or senior procurement professionals when appropriate.
- You may also be asked to perform other reasonable duties, as required, to support the needs of the business.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Operations, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrate experience supporting procurement, sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, finance, consulting, operations, data analytics, or a related business support function.
