The Housekeeper / Maintenance Support team member is an important representative of Mansions Senior Living and plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and team members.
The primary responsibility of this position is housekeeping. The employee is responsible for maintaining resident apartments, common areas, offices, and community spaces according to established company standards.
In addition to housekeeping responsibilities, this position provides maintenance support as needed. Maintenance responsibilities may include routine repairs, preventative maintenance, apartment make-ready tasks, grounds upkeep, and other basic maintenance duties within the employee's skills and abilities. More complex repairs or work requiring specialized expertise will be referred to the appropriate maintenance personnel, contractor, or supervisor.
This position involves regular interaction with residents and the public and requires professionalism, courtesy, compassion, reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

- Complete assigned housekeeping tasks within established timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain clean, sanitary, safe, and attractive resident and community areas.
- Perform routine housekeeping services in occupied resident apartments, including:
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Vacuuming
- Dusting surfaces
- Changing linens and making beds
- Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
- General apartment upkeep
- Clean vacant apartments and assist with preparing units for new resident move-ins.
- Clean carpets and perform floor care tasks as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness of community areas, including:
- Offices
- Break rooms
- Resident common areas
- Hallways
- Lobbies
- Lounges
- Entrances and exits
- Public restrooms
- Elevators
- Stairwells
- Breezeways
- Other shared spaces
- Maintain attention to detail and ensure areas are presented in a clean, orderly, and welcoming manner.
- Properly use, clean, and maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies.
- Report supply needs, damaged equipment, safety concerns, and maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and community events as assigned.
Maintenance responsibilities are secondary to the employee's housekeeping responsibilities and will be performed as assigned based on community needs, employee qualifications, and available work time.
- Respond to basic maintenance needs and work orders when assigned.
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance concerns or potential problems.
- Complete basic repairs and maintenance tasks within the employee's training, knowledge, and abilities.
- Assist with apartment turnover and make-ready activities, including:
- Minor drywall repairs
- Touch-up painting
- Changing locks or hardware
- Basic appliance checks
- Replacing light bulbs and basic fixtures when appropriate
- General apartment preparation
- Perform basic plumbing tasks, such as unclogging drains and addressing minor fixture issues, when properly trained and qualified.
- Perform basic electrical tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, switches, or other components when appropriate and permitted.
- Assist with basic appliance maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Perform basic HVAC-related tasks, including changing filters and reporting system concerns.
- Assist with preventative maintenance activities.
- Perform minor repairs to walls, doors, cabinets, fixtures, and other community property.
- Assist with grounds and exterior upkeep, including:
- Sweeping and raking
- Weed removal
- Parking lot cleanup
- Light landscaping
- Exterior appearance
- Replacement of exterior light bulbs
- Assist with maintaining vacant apartments, common areas, and other community spaces when maintenance support is needed.
- Promptly report maintenance issues that require specialized knowledge, licensing, equipment, or outside service.
- Maintain accurate communication regarding completed maintenance tasks and unresolved issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and equipment safely and only when properly trained and authorized.
- Provide professional, respectful, and courteous service to residents, families, visitors, vendors, coworkers, and supervisors.
