Our client in the commercial landscaping industry is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Construction Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-value construction projects from contract award through warranty closeout. This is a critical, client-facing leadership role responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strict financial control, schedule adherence, and exceptional quality standards.

The Senior Project Manager will oversee 6-8 active projects simultaneously, representing $8-10 million in annual revenue, and will play a key role in driving repeat business through strong stakeholder relationships and consistent project execution.

Position Overview

The Commercial Construction Senior Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of landscape, hardscape, and concrete construction projects that require a high level of coordination, detail, and quality. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, subcontractor management, material procurement, and change management once projects transition into production. The ideal candidate takes full ownership of project outcomes, maintains financial discipline, and communicates effectively with clients, internal teams, architects, and ownership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects in alignment with contract requirements, schedules, and financial targets.
  • Maintain full responsibility for project budgets, including labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and indirect costs.
  • Oversee project forecasting, cost controls, and change management to protect margins and financial performance.
  • Coordinate with field leadership to ensure project execution aligns with client expectations and contract scope.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding schedules, progress, and execution milestones.
  • Conduct regular job site visits and client meetings to assess progress, identify needs, and resolve issues.
  • Source and procure materials in accordance with project specifications while evaluating availability, cost, and alternatives.
  • Manage purchase orders and cost changes through the company's internal systems.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered to a high-quality standard that supports long-term client relationships and repeat work.

  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage subcontract agreements.
  • Experience with pay applications, progress billing, and schedules of values.
  • Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office (preferred).
