Company OverviewOur client is a high-growth residential real estate brokerage generating approximately $100 million in annual revenue. The company operates in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment focused on operational excellence, client experience, and scalable growth. This is a hybrid position based in Alpharetta, GA.
Position SummaryThe Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function of the organization and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This individual will oversee all core accounting operations, manage a team of four accounting professionals, and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the full accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll oversight.
- Manage, develop, and mentor a team of four accounting professionals; establish clear performance expectations and drive accountability.
- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Partner with the CFO on financial reporting, budgeting support, cash flow analysis, and strategic financial initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors; coordinate and manage the annual audit process.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to support a strong control environment.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience managing full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles.
- Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team in a high-growth environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with executive leadership.
- Experience in real estate, brokerage, or multi-entity environments preferred.
Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 salary plus 10% bonus
