Key Responsibilities Growth Strategy & Market Expansion- Develop and implement a regional growth strategy: identify new markets, conduct competitive analyses, and evaluate potential clinic locations.
- Lead site selection, business case development, lease negotiations, clinic build-out planning and transition to operational status.
- Establish and maintain referral source relationships (physicians, surgeons, sports teams, employers) to support new and existing locations and ensure a sustainable pipeline of patients.
- Coordinate with marketing, business development and community outreach teams to drive awareness, recruitment and patient acquisition for the region.
- Monitor revenue, margin, patient volume, and other growth metrics for new and existing locations, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Oversee performance of clinics within the region: review key performance indicators (KPIs) such as utilization, patient retention, satisfaction, profitability and growth trends.
- Mentor and collaborate with clinic directors and operations managers to deploy standard operating procedures, optimize workflows and maintain high standards of care and consistency across multiple sites.
- Facilitate cross-site best practice sharing, support professional development, and align clinical and administrative teams with the company’s values and goals.
- Manage regional budget forecasting, staffing models, capital expense planning and resource allocation to support growth while maintaining operational excellence.
- Ensure all clinics under scope adhere to regulatory, compliance and quality standards: state licensure, OSHA, HIPAA, and internal audit protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Physical Therapy, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in outpatient rehabilitation operations, business development or multi-site leadership; ideally with proven success in opening new locations or managing a clinic portfolio.
- Strong strategic mindset with ability to analyze market data, develop business cases and execute growth initiatives.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders, mentor clinic leaders and foster a high-performance culture.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, P&L performance, resource allocation and operational KPIs.
- Familiarity with outpatient physical therapy workflows, payer environment, referral management and industry regulatory requirements.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally to support clinic openings, leadership development, and growth initiatives.
- Competitive executive compensation package including base salary plus performance-based incentive tied to regional growth, clinic openings, and profitability.
- Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision) and retirement savings plan with employer contribution.
- Generous paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays) plus travel flexibility for field-based leadership.
- Professional development and leadership advancement opportunities, including training in executive leadership, clinic acquisition & integration.
- Travel allowance or company vehicle support for regional visits, site launches and leadership summits.
- Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus for qualified candidates relocating to desired region.
- Wellness program, executive peer network, and company retreats to build regional leadership community and foster collaboration across sites.
