As part of our #OneLSI movement: We are looking for an Estimator to support our team at our location in Alpharetta, GA.
Position OverviewThe Estimator prepares accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for highly customized products across multiple materials and manufacturing facilities. This role partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to support quoting from concept through production handoff.
Essential Job Functions- Safety Sensitive position.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom millwork and fabricated metal products
- Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Estimate labor, materials, and outside services across multiple facilities
- Develop BOMs and routing assumptions in collaboration with Engineering
- Coordinate pricing for outsourced components (stone, glass, lighting, acrylics, etc.)
- Support Sales with pricing strategies and value-engineering options
- Maintain estimating databases, tools, and historical cost data
- Analyze historical data to improve estimating accuracy and margin performance
- Participate in project handoffs to ensure smooth transition to Operations
- Knowledge of wood, stainless steel, and carbon steel fabrication processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or estimating software
- Good organizational skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Strong basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
- Ability to work in a demanding, multi-task environment
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of three (3) years of estimating experience in manufacturing or fabrication
- Experience with custom products, millwork, and metal fabrication
