As a Motor Technician, you’ll play a hands‑on role in building the motors that help power the future of rail transportation. In this role, you’ll assemble, disassemble, clean, and inspect motor components while operating production equipment and following detailed drawings and quality guidelines. You’ll be part of a team focused on precision, safety, and continuous improvement, partnering with supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot production challenges and ensure each motor meets Siemens’ high standards for performance and reliability.

Shift: 5:30pm–4:00am (2–3 months of training will be on the 1st shift which is 6:30am–5:00pm)

What your day‑to‑day will look like:
  • Inspect, clean, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust motor units to meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
  • Complete inbound inspections, stage parts, remove couplings with specialized tools, and inspect key motor components.
  • Prepare and test motor assemblies, including rotors, stators, seals, pulse wheels, coils, and insulation systems.
  • Install bearings, reassemble motors, flush regreasing systems, and complete electrical, insulation, surge, balance, and vibration testing.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workspace by preparing motors for painting, caring for tools, supporting 6S, and helping improve processes.

This posting outlines the primary responsibilities of the role but is not all-inclusive; additional duties may be assigned in alignment with business needs.

To thrive in this role, you have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
