Laminat Operator 3 - Night Shift

Key Purpose of the Role:

Operate and monitor 5 laminators in a cleanroom environment to ensure product quality, process efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor at least 5 laminators following product specifications and SOPs
  • Perform setup, changeovers, and tooling (cylinders/rollers) verification
  • Control process parameters (speed, alignment, temperature, pressure)
  • Serve as a guide and support the Laminator's Operators on their daily activities including technical, good practices and training to operate the laminators efficiently.
  • Support the production floor training new operators, and operators who don't have enough experience with some laminators.
  • Maintain accurate organization of all documentation related to maintenance requests.
  • Ensure assigned operators' toolboxes are complete, organized, and maintained in clean condition.
  • Verify that all parts and tools are in optimal condition before and after lamination to prevent downtime.
  • Inspect changeovers prior to release to Laminator Operators to ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Prepare and stage required tools for upcoming orders (e.g., mouthpieces, peel plates, knives, etc.).
  • Ensure Laminator Operators have and properly maintain required PPE in good condition.
  • Serve as support to Receive and Return material from the warehouse.
  • Ensure Laminator, tools and area around the laminator remains clean according to specifications.
  • Inspect product quality and segregate non-conforming material
  • Complete production documentation accurately
  • Report and support resolution of laminator/process issues
  • Maintain adherence to EHS policies and cGMP-compliant cleanroom protocols, ensuring a controlled manufacturing environment
  • Flexibility to cover and/or interchange between day and night shift as needed by the company (including but not limited to cover for leaves of absence, vacation, position vacancy, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Advanced math and measurement skills
  • Ability to read technical documents and procedures
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Highly motivated with a proactive attitude, showing enthusiasm for learning new processes and continuously developing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of manufacturing experience (cleanroom or regulated industry preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of operating machinery
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to effectively participate in meetings and communicate in a professional environment.

Work Environment / Physical Demands:

Employees occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, electronics and other light industrial equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Will perform tasks inside cleanroom and must follow cleanroom work instructions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Physically capable of performing tasks associated with the responsibilities, such as but not limited to:
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; work on an elevated platform or surface; and talk, see and hear. Employees must frequently push or pull material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and or material carts carrying loads in excess of 1000lbs.

The rate of this position is $ 30.50 p/hr
