Sew On Team Member

Shift: 1 st Monday – Friday (8, 10, or 12-hour days)

Summary: Sew‑On Operator are skilled technicians who use sewing machines to join, reinforce, decorate, and finish carpet products, ensuring quality and efficiency in production. Sew‑On Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining sewing machines to assemble and finish carpet products according to design specifications.

• Operate sewing machines to join Turf sections, braided yarn strips, or leno cloth for rugs and runners
• Adjust machine settings for different fabrics, stitching techniques, and thread types
• Monitor and troubleshoot machine operations to maintain smooth production flow
• Inspect finished products for quality, alignment, and adherence to design specs
• Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines, including cleaning, oiling, and replacing needles
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

• Proven experience as a sewing machine operator, preferably in carpet or textile manufacturing
• Familiarity with various sewing machines and their operations
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and patterns
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle materials such as turf when pulling off core by hand.

Typically found in coater manufacturing plants, rug production facilities, or retail carpet shops. The role requires standing for long periods, working with heavy materials, and operating industrial sewing equipment.
