** About the External Engagement Manager Position
** We are seeking an External Engagement Manager to join our high‑performing Communications team. In this influential role, you will shape the narrative of one of the nation’s most essential energy infrastructure companies—helping educate, inform, and engage critical external audiences while supporting business objectives and elevating our brand reputation.

As the External Engagement Manager, you will lead key efforts across communications, crisis response, and stakeholder engagement. At Colonial Pipeline, you will be part of a dedicated, mission‑driven team working to ensure the safe, reliable, and responsible transportation of energy across the United States. Your work will directly influence public understanding, community partnerships, and the company’s role in protecting critical infrastructure.

**** External Messaging & Branding
*** Execute strategic external communications plans that position and protect the company with media, regulators, customers, public officials, and community partners.
* Research, write, and edit high‑impact content for digital and traditional channels, including social media, presentations, publications, videos, and web content.
* Partner across business units (Leadership, Government Affairs, Legal, Operations) to deliver consistent, targeted messaging.
* Manage the company’s website and social media channels to ensure timely, engaging, reputation‑supporting content.
** Crisis & Issues Management
*** Serve as the company’s primary Public Information Officer (PIO).
* Support execution of crisis communications and emergency response strategies.
* Coordinate with external communications partners during crises.
* Track media and stakeholder sentiment and provide insights that shape communication strategies.
** Public Engagement & Community Impact
*** Lead the Charitable Contributions Committee, evaluating requests and guiding community partnerships.
* Build meaningful relationships with community organizations and leaders.
* Organize and participate in community outreach events, maximizing employee engagement.
