Job SummaryAs a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age‑appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. The Float Pool at Sinai Hospital is a designated supplemental staffing pool to support nursing units when staffing is insufficient to meet patient care needs. RN's can receive up to a $10,000 sign‑on bonus plus competitive pay and additional differentials.
ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, age‑appropriate care across pediatrics, PICU, and NICU; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; adapt to diverse units; maintain high quality care; contribute to float pool staffing.
Requirements- Telemetry experience required
- Pediatrics/PICU/NICU experience required
- 2+ years of RN experience
- RN License in Maryland or a compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from AHA
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Will be STABLE within 6 months of hire
- Chemo/biotherapy provider course within 6 months of hire
- Preferred:
Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – Pediatric or Neonatal
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA
- Trauma Certification within 6 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of hire
The Float Pool staff will follow a 6‑week schedule and have a weekend obligation of 4 shifts, 3 major holidays and 2 difficult‑to‑staff days. All staff are eligible for shift incentives once flex obligations have been met.
