Environmental Team Member role at Michaels Stores.

Location:

Store - ATL-ALPHARETTA, GA. Maintain a high standard of the store’s appearance, cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop the store.

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• May require mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways and other high-traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor and performs tasks in accordance with applicable guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.

• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store; regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

• Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks.
