Quikrete, the leading producer of packaged concrete and related products, is looking for a Commercial Sales Representative for the greater Atlanta, GA market to represent its Ready Mix brand of commercial products. The Commercial Sales Representative will initiate and help coordinate the sale and delivery of ready‑mix concrete and related products. The position is responsible for interacting with customers, owners, quality control inspectors, engineers/architects and any other industry related persons within their market, in order to develop relationships that will allow the representative to get involved with their businesses and create opportunities for sales.

- Maintain strong customer relationships and be proactive in understanding customer service.
- Maintain a strong grasp of all competitors’ actions, prices and strategy.
- Develop action plans and establish objectives and goals to meet the divisional targets.
- Market tracking for hard numbers and intelligence.
- Customer and project prospecting.
- Relationship development.
- Administration – computer usage for email, quoting, spreadsheets, contracts, etc.
- Negotiate with customers, using active listening to address their concerns thoroughly and understand what they want from a purchase.
- Quote prices to projects large or small, providing customers with written confirmation.
- Assist in the coordination of deliveries to all projects large and small.
- Work with customers to resolve problems either internal or external.
- Spend 50% of time in the field working with project managers, superintendents and placing finishers.
- Maintain a daily log of customer calls and upcoming projects.
- Promote value added and specialty products.
- Operate within safety, environmental policies and best practices.
- 3–5 years of experience in sales or marketing (construction materials industry preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
