Position Purpose
The Sales Support Representative at SRS Building Products manages sales orders, handles client inquiries, and provides administrative support to strengthen contractor relationships and drive growth. The role collaborates with Territory Managers and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and value‑driven solutions aligned with regional goals.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to customer inquiries about products, pricing, delivery and order status.
- Accurately process and manage sales orders, maintaining detailed records of sales activities.
- Prepare reports and assist with presentations.
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and timely delivery.
- Maintain strong client relationships to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support 30+ active accounts monthly and meet sales goals.
- Make outbound sales calls daily, documenting insights in CRM.
- Collaborate with the Credit Team on account credit health and order‑to‑cash processes.
- Support teammates during absences to ensure consistent customer service.
- Monitor competitors and provide market intelligence.
- Represent SRS at industry events and trade shows.
Reports to the Branch Manager; no direct reports. Works with Territory Managers and cross‑functional teams.
Travel &Physical Requirements
Occasional travel for trade shows, conferences, and customer visits; may lift up to 25 pounds. The role is primarily office‑based.
Minimum Qualifications- 2+ years in sales or sales support; experience in building material distribution preferred.
- Proven success in residential roofing product sales to local contractors.
- College degree preferred; construction wholesale distribution experience a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and customer service skills.
- Detail‑oriented and proactive with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
Agility software experience is a plus. - Familiar with CRM systems for call documentation and customer follow‑up.
- Ability to quote prices, manage orders, and conduct material takeoffs and estimates.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Occasional travel to the Field Support Center in McKinney, TX.
- 3+ years in construction wholesale distribution, especially residential roofing.
- Strong knowledge of building products and the local contractor market.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) and CRM platforms like Agility.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple projects.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred EducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
