Position Overview
Employee Health & Benefits Senior Account Manager at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA).
MMA provides business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions to organizations and individuals.
Location & CommuteApplicants must be within driving distance to our Alpharetta, GA office and be able to commute to the office at least three days per week.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email, and in person.
- Execute a comprehensive client service plan for all assigned accounts that addresses their business needs and risk management goals.
- Lead the client service team in activities related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem solving.
- Coordinate internal and external activities to ensure new and renewal accounts are handled timely, accurately, and professionally.
- Seek cross‑sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage.
- Monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients and coordinate meetings with clients or Producers to present renewals or alternative options.
- Lead the marketing of smaller, less complex accounts and prepare marketing information.
- Prepare and deliver all applicable forms to clients.
- Plan and conduct relationship management meetings and visits with assigned clients.
- Use the client management system to update policies, log activities, and track follow‑up.
- Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to stay abreast of new products and legislative changes.
- Mentor team members.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
- Five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
- Appropriate insurance license(s).
- Strong client relationship skills and excellent communication, service orientation, and tactfulness.
- Leadership skills to provide direction, constructive feedback, development and training.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
- Advanced degree.
- Certification in relevant field.
- Experience with Requests for Proposal.
