Position Summary

The role involves conducting a variety of security and accountability tasks as part of comprehensive Personnel, Facility, Process, Awareness and Risk Management programs across the Alpharetta GA campus and over 30 remote facilities.

  • Conduct security and accountability activities as part of Personnel, Facility, Process, Awareness, and Risk Management programs.
  • Administer facility security, environmental monitoring, and life safety systems for the Alpharetta GA campus and over 30 remote facilities.
  • Prepare incident, investigative, and other informative reports.
  • Oversee and document manufacturing and destruction processes.
  • Enforce security procedures, policies, and operating standards.
  • Fulfill internal and lottery client service level agreements and related security control tasks.
  • Perform data entry and data backup tasks.
  • Conduct on‑foot and vehicular patrols.
  • Execute emergency response, evacuation, and disaster recovery responsibilities.
  • Operate and troubleshoot security systems and devices at the operator level.
  • Administer digital and ink‑rolled fingerprint applications for employees and affiliates.
  • Provide first aid and carry out safety and environmental protection tasks.
  • Document secure cargo transportation and recovery operations.
  • Execute bid deliveries in the US and abroad; may be assigned for temporary out‑of‑state work or events.
  • Verify integrity of Scientific Games Corporation processes and/or programs.
  • Inspect and verify ticket shipments; check locks and seal numbers on all shipments.
  • Report damaged shipments.
  • Review work papers for all games to ensure proper security features.
  • Videotape drawings and verify winning tickets; maintain video library.
  • Oversee ticket destruction and complete related paperwork.
  • Monitor security and alarm systems and perform routine patrol duties.
  • Operate access systems and security console equipment, including maintenance of videotapes.
  • Research videotapes for various purposes and provide security escorts for visitors, contractors, and employees.
  • Ensure protection of buildings and parking areas on all Scientific Games Corporation properties.
  • Investigate complaints, maintain records, take corrective action or refer to higher authority, and complete daily activity logs and required reports.
  • Assist investigations of instances of crime, trespass, damage, or disorderly conduct on properties.
  • Respond to security alarms, power outages, and other facility‑related problems.
  • Implement evacuation activities and threat procedures; coordinate facility management and first‑responder programs.
  • Estimated 5% travel.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability
  • Knowledge of physical security systems, techniques, and procedures; emergency responses; traffic and crowd control; fire prevention and security; relevant policies and procedures; computers and technology in the area of security.
  • Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies.
  • Ability to analyze emergency situations and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Ability to apply good judgment and discretion.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of experience in the protection of persons or property or enforcement of security regulations.
  • College training in criminal justice or a closely related field may be substituted for the general experience requirement.
Special Requirements
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
  • May be required to obtain an Occupational License and retain it during employment.
  • Must obtain and retain a standard First Aid certificate and CPR certificate.
  • Within 90 days of hire: certified in First Aid/CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Within 120 days of hire: complete all local ISO training as outlined for the Security Department.
  • Within 120 days of hire: complete all safety and environmental training as outlined for the Security Department.
  • Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license in good standing.
  • Professional bearing and appearance.
  • Must pass a stringent vetting process including annual FBI fingerprint records search and credit history check.
