Position OverviewSecurity Officer Part Time Access Post – Alpharetta, GA
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour
Job Schedule: Sat & Sun — 02:30 PM – 10:30 PM
What You’ll Do- Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter and access‑controlled locations, while observing for unusual activity and potential hazards.
- Support screening and checkpoint operations by following posted instructions, maintaining accurate logs, and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
