Kelly Engineering is seeking an Industrial HVAC Technician to join one of our leading clients in the Chemical Manufacturing industry located at their Alpharetta, GA plant.

Ideal Candidate- 3+ years industry experience in industrial/commercial HVAC maintenance/troubleshooting.
- Extensive knowledge of refrigeration cycle and circuitry.
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Chilled water system knowledge
As an Industrial HVAC Technician, you will ensure the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems—spanning both legacy and state-of-the-art technologies in industrial settings. You’ll be a key contributor to our culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of industrial HVAC systems, including:
- Small to large DX rooftop units
- Dedicated outside air supply units (DOAS)
- Air-cooled screw chillers
- Chilled water systems, including chillers, chilled water loops, pumps, control valves, and differential pressure management
- HVAC and laboratory controls (including pneumatic controls)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot both older and modern industrial HVAC equipment efficiently
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the refrigeration cycle and its application to various HVAC systems
- Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Demonstrate efficient brazing skills for piping and component repairs
- Apply hydrodynamics knowledge to optimize system performance
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance in industrial environments
- Collaborate with engineering and facility teams to enhance system reliability and efficiency
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Stay current with emerging HVAC technologies and best practices
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician (5+ years preferred), with a strong background in industrial HVAC systems
- Deep understanding of the refrigeration cycle and its practical application in HVAC equipment
- Extensive experience with chilled water systems, including chillers, chilled water loops, pumps, control valves, differential pressure, and related components
- Expertise in both legacy and modern HVAC equipment and controls
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Brazing and piping
- Hydrodynamics
- Pneumatic and digital control systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous learning
