PositionHVAC Technician – Alpharetta, GA
ResponsibilitiesAs an HVAC Technician in an industrial setting, you will assemble, install, service, and repair air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units. Your duties include:
- Working within precise accuracy limits and reviewing flat drawings to visualize 3‑D installations.
- Studying building plans, determining required work aids, and sequencing installations.
- Measuring existing openings, cutting through walls with mallets, chisels, or power tools for unit installation.
- Diagnosing equipment breakdowns, testing parts with instruments, disassembling and assembling components, and making necessary repairs.
- Drilling holes to mount units, lifting parts into position, locating and marking pipe or duct connection points, and cutting openings to accommodate fittings.
- Cutting and threading pipe using pipe cutters, torch, and thread machines.
- Connecting motors to control panels, balancing motors for efficient operation, and connecting control panels to power sources.
- Welding holding fixtures to steel structural members and installing solar heating and cooling units.
- Performing additional assignments as directed by supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 4 years of relevant experience based on mechanic level.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial/commercial HVAC systems.
- Advanced skill with HVAC diagnostic tools.
- HVAC certification required at most sites.
- Completion of a written pre‑employment qualification test.
- Post‑offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
- Compliance with client‑specific job site safety requirements (e.g., clean shaven, long sleeves, steel‑toe boots).
- Use of client‑specified safety equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard).
- Applicants must not pose a direct threat to workplace safety.
Compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience.

Physical InvolvementThe role may require climbing ladders, working on scaffolds or structures above and below ground level, balancing on ladders and scaffolds, reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials, coordinating eye, hand, and finger movements to operate tools and equipment, lifting 30 to 50 pounds at various heights, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, typing or data entry, using stepstools, operating in excessive heat or cold, and working in loud environments while wearing the necessary PPE.
