Media Blaster – Mold Remediation Technician
Atlanta Basement Systems is looking for a dependable, hardworking Media Blaster / Mold Remediation Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands‑on position focused on helping homeowners create cleaner, healthier, and safer environments by treating mold and contaminated surfaces in basements and crawl spaces.
As a Media Blaster, you’ll use specialized blasting equipment and professional remediation techniques to remove mold and organic growth from wood and structural surfaces. WHAT YOU’LL DO- Operate professional media blasting equipment to remove mold, mildew, staining, and organic growth from structural surfaces
- Perform mold remediation work in basements, crawl spaces, and other residential areas
- Prepare and contain work areas before remediation begins
- Properly use PPE, respirators, blasting equipment, vacuums, and other remediation tools
- Apply antimicrobial and mold-treatment products when required
- Inspect work areas to ensure surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and treated
- Protect customers’ homes and property throughout the remediation process
- Load, unload, maintain, and clean equipment and materials
- Follow company procedures and established safety standards
- Work alongside production crews and other team members to provide an outstanding customer experience
- Experience with mold remediation, media blasting, restoration, construction, waterproofing, or similar trades is preferred
- Comfortable working in basements, crawl spaces, and confined areas
- Ability to work around dust while wearing appropriate respiratory protection and PPE
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, or construction equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, crawling, and standing for extended periods
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
