As a Test Technician at our Alpharetta, GA facility, you’ll put your electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to work testing custom industrial control systems and making sure they’re ready to perform in the field. You’ll power up equipment, troubleshoot electrical and functional issues, verify systems against project requirements, and work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to deliver reliable, high-quality equipment to our customers.

  • Job Type: Full-time, hourly position with overtime eligibility
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Test Technician, you will:

  • Safely power up and test electrical equipment and control systems, including equipment operating at 500V+
  • Perform electrical testing using multimeters, hi-pot testers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and functional issues identified during power-up and testing
  • Perform ohm checks and inspect electrical assemblies for proper wiring, workmanship, and functionality
  • Verify completed equipment and project materials against electrical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Identify, document, and communicate test issues and work with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve them
  • Support customer factory acceptance testing (FAT) and complete related test documentation
  • Maintain accurate project records, including drawings, photographs, test results, and project information
  • Support manufacturing and project needs as required
  • Follow established testing procedures, electrical safety requirements, and quality standards
Experience and Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on electrical experience
  • Experience with electrical assemblies, control panels, or industrial electrical systems
  • Experience using electrical test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and hi-pot testers
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and safe power-up procedures, including work around energized equipment
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and communicate issues
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document test results

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience testing industrial control panels or custom electrical equipment
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, or industrial automation systems
  • Experience with factory acceptance testing (FAT) or system-level troubleshooting

Physical & Work Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work in various positions throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Manual dexterity and ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
