Sr. Manager, Engineering (Platform)We are seeking a hands‑on engineering leader to drive the development and operation of our carrier‑grade telecom platform and APIs. This role will lead high‑performing teams building scalable, real‑time communication systems integrated with global carrier networks.
What You’ll Do- Lead and grow engineering teams delivering telecom platform services and APIs.
- Build and operate high‑throughput, real‑time communication systems (SIP, SMS/MMS, IMS) at carrier scale.
- Own end‑to‑end API development, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Drive architecture for distributed systems with a focus on reliability, latency, and fault tolerance.
- Oversee cloud deployment, CI/CD, and runtime operations with strong observability and incident response practices.
- Partner with Product, SRE, and external telecom providers to align roadmaps and deliver integrated solutions.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and engineering excellence.
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 6+ years leading teams.
- Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems and high‑availability APIs.
- Background in telecom, real‑time communications, or enterprise SaaS environments.
- Strong knowledge of telecom protocols (SIP, IMS, SMS/MMS) and carrier integrations.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
- Experience with distributed messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Redis).
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Golang, C/C++, Node.js, or Ruby.
- Strong understanding of system reliability, performance optimization, and observability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
