Software Developer - Modern Tech Stack; Agile

Competent Systems is seeking multiple technology professionals across a variety of roles. All positions require strong collaboration in a fast‑paced environment, commitment to coding standards, and experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.

• Responsibilities: Design, develop and unit‑test applications using ASP.Net, MVC, C#, WPF, WCF, Web Services, Angular
  
  JS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, REST and SOAP. Write code following coding standards and test‑driven development principles, represent the team in sprints, attend stand‑ups, estimate task complexity, support QA teams in test planning and defect resolution, coordinate with on‑shore and offshore developers for code delivery, and move code to production.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics or a related field with 2–3 years of experience. Preferred:
  Master’s degree in a related field with 1 year of experience. Must be able to work travel to client sites as needed.
• Salary: $68,000 – $86,000 per year (depending on experience).
• Hours: 9:00 A.M. – 5:30 P.M., 40 hours per week.

• Responsibilities: Design, develop and unit‑test applications using Java, J2EE, JSP, XML, JDBC, Web Services, MVC, Servlets, JSF, JAXB, JPA, JMS, MQ Series and JUnit. Create technical design documents, support QA and production teams, maintain coding standards, represent the team in Agile sprints, and facilitate defect resolution.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 2–5 years of experience. Master’s degree preferred. Advanced knowledge of JUnit testing and enterprise integration.
• Salary: $70,000 – $80,200 per year.

• Responsibilities: Lead end‑to‑end project management activities including planning, execution, control, risk and budget monitoring, and close‑out. Perform systems, business, and process analysis; develop workflows, data models, and reports; coordinate cross‑functional teams; conduct status reporting; manage Agile sprints; oversee software development life cycle; ensure compliance with change, security, and user management controls.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; 2–5 years of experience in software project management, Agile/Scrum, and coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams. Experience with Java/J2EE, .Net, SQL/Oracle, and enterprise platforms.
• Salary: $60,000 – $74,110 per year.

• Responsibilities: Build and develop server applications using C#, ASP.Net, , and ; design back‑end database structures, stored procedures, functions, and views; test across web browsers; implement SOAP/WCF and REST APIs; customize client and server‑side validations; support continuous integration, deployment, and quality assurance; implement authentication, state management, and encryption.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field with 2–5 years of experience. Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science is an asset.
• Salary: $64,563 – $125,320 per year.

• Responsibilities: Design and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium, JUnit, and test‑management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Fisheye, and Jenkins. Write test cases, perform database queries, and develop scripts for Linux and Python. Lead QA teams in Agile sprints, support defect resolution, and ensure stable deployments.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 2–5 years of testing experience;
