ADP is hiring a Sr. Lead Platform Engineer.
In this role, you will architect and manage the strategy, technology, and governance of ADP's cloud-based Identity & Access Management (IDAM) platform. This role will significantly influence user access, application security, and data privacy. You will work across teams overseeing the design and implementation of our IDAM systems to ensure we have a modern, world-class user experience and security.
You will test your leadership skills as you set direction and produce reference architectures for developers to follow. You will be involved in single‑sign‑on, passwordless authentication, multi‑factor and adaptive authentication working with technologies such as OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, OAuth, and PKI. Your influence on ADP's security posture will be crucial as you work closely with our Global Security organization to ensure the development and deployment of proper controls, mitigate risks, and keep fraud in check.
To thrive in this role, you must navigate challenging problems calmly under pressure and evangelize IDAM features across our product portfolio. You will mentor developers, lead innovation, study industry trends, and become our resident expert on IDAM. Versatile knowledge of coding languages, including front‑end, scripting, and back‑ends like Java, JavaScript, React, MySQL, AWS, or other cloud platforms is required.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- R&D:
Learn how ADP IDAM works and evolve our approach to improve business results. - Risk Management:
Understand risks and vulnerabilities and work with our Global Security organization and Product Owners to prioritize and mitigate those items. - Scrums:
Start each day with a scrum to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate design and coding priorities. - Coding:
Design, code, and support solutions. Review developers’ code, refine it, and jump in to code critical areas yourself. - Learning:
Stay up to date with rapid changes in cyber‑security. Lead the team through new challenges and develop fixes when issues arise. - Challenges:
Scale solutions to serve over 20 million active monthly users across diverse products and environments. - Client Implementation & Service Support:
Support the client implementation team with IDAM implementation for new clients and the client service team for IDAM issues reported by clients. - Variety of work:
Design, mentor team members, and work on projects for quality assurance, security, UX, or other functions as needed. - Experience:
12+ years of experience in relevant skills in a similar role.
You will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Hands‑on expertise with SAML, SSO, OAuth, Multi‑Factor Authentication, networking routing techniques, Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), and gateway anti‑malware.
- Proficiency in Java/JEE technologies, NodeJS, JSON, React
JS, Kafka. - Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and Spring integrations.
- Experience with RDBMS and No
SQL databases such as MySQL, Mongo, or Dynamo
DB. - Familiarity with GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, and Public Cloud (AWS or Azure).

Base salary offers may vary based on location, skills, and experience. Compensation ranges from $88,800 to $237,960 per year and may include additional bonus, equity, or commissions.
