Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Senior Software Engineer (Onsite - Alpharetta, GA). Central to designing and delivering Load Up's next-generation cloud-native platform, built for scale, reliability, and speed. Work alongside the Director of Architecture, fellow engineers, and product team to craft elegant, well-tested microservices.

• Design, build, and deliver scalable, fault-tolerant RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Leverage AI development tools to accelerate coding speed while maximizing quality.
• Design and optimize data models using Hibernate/Spring Data JPA and Postgre
  
  SQL.
• Champion clean, maintainable code with deep focus on Test Driven Development and robust unit/integration testing frameworks.
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy into AWS using automated CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Instrument services with structured logging, metrics, and tracing using tools like Open Telemetry or Datadog.
• Partner closely with product managers and designers to translate business rules into technical architectures.

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or 8+ years of practical software engineering experience building production‑ready systems.
• Deep hands‑on experience developing enterprise‑grade microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong SQL skills with Postgre
  
  SQL, including schema design, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Expertise in Test Driven Development with frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with AI‑powered development environments to streamline delivery.
• Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools like Git Hub Actions.
