Fullstack Developer / Java Web Developer

This position is for an experienced Java and Web developer for the Financial Advisor Compensation Team. The team is responsible for maintaining and processing large amounts and volumes of data, all centered around paying all Financial Advisors correctly. The team’s goal is to build a new renovated system in Wealth Management to reduce risk, pay the FAs accurately and thus influence firm strategy.

The FA Compensation lead candidate would play a senior developer role on the team with the following responsibilities:

• Understanding business needs and converting them into technical specifications
• Leading a new team to build the application
• Communication with Senior Management
• Developing and designing Java batch processes
• Coordinating with offshore leads to ensure all deadlines are met
• Working with the team as a process-oriented lead and adhering to the organization’s product development standards
• Advising on Design for Optimized Data Access
• Working with other development groups to understand/gain access to the new Field Desktop

Primary Skills / Must have:

• Strong knowledge in object-oriented programming concepts and design
• Strong knowledge and experience in Java and web service technologies
• Client-side JavaScript technologies including Angular and Java Script
• SQL skills and a thorough understanding of database constructs
• 3-5 years of coding experience in web/batch development
• Strong data analysis and data quality assessment skills
• Experience with performance testing and improvement
• Critical thinker and problem solver who has a strong base in web technologies and design concepts
• Ability to develop and follow change management processes for consistent and maintainable versions
• Interactive filtering via visualization
• Excellent communication and written skills and willingness to work across time zones
• Strong understanding of SDLC and proven track record of operational efficiency
