Java Senior Engineer
UST is looking for a Java Senior Engineer to build end‑to‑end business solutions and work with one of the leading financial services organizations in the US. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with domain experts and technical experts in the team. The candidate must have experience in analysis, design, development, maintenance, and support activities.
Responsibilities- Review technology requirements and business processes; code, test, debug and implement software solutions.
- Provide engineering support in the conceptualization, development, implementation, and automation of technical capabilities and products.
- Write and implement efficient code.
- Perform peer reviews on source code to ensure reusability, scalability, and use of best practices.
- Participate in collaborative technical discussions focusing on software user experience, design, architecture, and development.
- Perform demonstrations for client stakeholders on project features, utilizing latest front‑end and back‑end development technologies.
- Perform production support, troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and fix them.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Coordinate with other systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and obtain information on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces; store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews with other programmers, technologists, and technicians.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
- Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance.
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding.
- GCP certification preferred.
- Experience with one or more Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform (preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in designing and developing Java/J2EE applications using frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring XD, and Hibernate.
- Strong experience with front‑end UI technologies:
JavaScript, React, AngularJS, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS. - Experience with big‑data platforms such as Hadoop and Apache Spark.
- Knowledge of Postgres/Oracle/MySQL/No
SQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J). - Dev Ops experience and solid understanding of CI/CD concepts; experience with continuous integration build tools (Jenkins, Sonar Qube, JIRA, Nexus, Confluence, Git, Maven, Gradle, Run Deck).
- A solid understanding of security practices.
- Experience in unit and automation testing (Jasmine, Protractor, JUnit).
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Compensation Range$62,000 – $93,000
