Java Senior Engineer – Developer II, Software Engineering

UST is seeking a Java Senior Engineer to build end‑to‑end business solutions for a leading financial services organization in the US. You will collaborate with domain experts and technical peers, and contribute to analysis, design, development, maintenance, and support activities.

• Review technology requirements and business processes; code, test, debug, and implement software solutions.
• Provide engineering support in the conceptualization, development, implementation, and automation of technical capabilities and products.
• Write and implement efficient, maintainable code.
• Perform peer reviews to ensure code quality, reuse, scalability, and best‑practice compliance; participate in technical discussions on user experience, design, architecture, and development.
• Demonstrate new features to client stakeholders using the latest front‑end and back‑end technologies.
• Perform production support: troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and implement fixes.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine design feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems, gathering information on project limitations, performance requirements, interfaces, and data manipulation.
• Conduct technical reviews with programmers, technologists, and other engineering personnel.
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functionality to ensure specifications are met.
• Consult with customers about system design and maintenance.

• BS degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding.
• GCP certification preferred.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform (preferred).
• 6+ years of experience designing and developing Java/J2EE applications with frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring XD, and Hibernate.
• Strong front‑end UI experience:
  JavaScript, React, AngularJS, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with big‑data platforms such as Hadoop and Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and No
  
  SQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J).
• Dev Ops experience and solid understanding of CI/CD concepts; experience with Jenkins, Sonar Qube, JIRA, Nexus, Confluence, Git‑Bit Bucket, Maven, Gradle, Run Deck, and similar tools.
• Strong security practices knowledge.
• Experience in unit and automation testing (Jasmine, Protractor, JUnit).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Compensation Range: $62,000 – $93,000

Full‑time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave (pro‑rated for new hires), 10 paid holidays, paid bereavement leave, and jury duty. Eligible for the Company 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life, accidental death and disability, and short‑ and long‑term disability benefits. Employees may purchase additional voluntary short‑term disability and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) and a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare and dependent child care.

Part‑time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave per year and access to the 401(k) plan with employer matching. All U.S. employees receive benefits per applicable state or local laws for paid sick leave.
