Senior QA Automation Engineer; Playwright

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for web applications. This role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through robust test automation and continuous testing practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, or Git Hub Actions.
• Analyze test execution results, troubleshoot failures, and work with developers to resolve defects.
• Perform cross‑browser and cross‑platform testing.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.
• Maintain test documentation, test plans, and automation reports.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and automation coverage.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Playwright automation.
• Strong experience with Type Script or JavaScript.
• Experience with UI automation for modern web applications.
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of test design techniques and defect management.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with Cypress, Selenium, or other automation tools.
• Experience with API automation testing.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Experience with accessibility testing.

• ISTQB certification is a plus.
