Overview About the role
As a Senior Product Engineer supporting Paragon TMS in Alpharetta, GA, you will solve complex customer and product problems. You will work across product and customer contexts to deliver maintainable software capabilities. You will apply engineering expertise, practical judgment, and a strong quality‑assurance mindset from discovery through release and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate customer and product problems, identify root causes, and prevent recurrence
- Design, build, test, release, and support reliable Paragon TMS software
- Anticipate edge cases, failure modes, and regression risks throughout development
- Create tests, test data, validation approaches, and appropriate acceptance criteria
- Communicate risks, defects, test results, tradeoffs, and progress clearly
You take ownership of complex technical problems and follow issues through resolution. You use evidence and sound judgment to make decisions and explain your reasoning. You communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical partners and help improve the effectiveness of the broader engineering team.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- Several years of software, product, or quality engineering experience
- Experience delivering production‑quality solutions for complex technical problems
- Strong QA mindset covering edge cases, regression risk, and solution validation
- Experience with automated or manual testing, defect prevention, or release validation
- Experience with transportation management, supply chain, enterprise, or SaaS products
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, SQL, Python, application performance, or observability
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
