Local CDL A or B Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections.
• Verify inventory accuracy.
• Ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with customers for material placement.
• Document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts or manual handling.
• Work in varied weather and noisy environments.
• Read job‑related documents in English.
• Manage long hours driving and handling materials up to 100lb.
• Coordinate multi‑drop deliveries and maintain accurate records.

• Valid CDL ClassA or B with air brakes endorsement.
• Clean driving record.
• Operate forklifts safely.
• Work in varied conditions and communicate effectively in English.
• Enroll in background checks, drug tests, E‑Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Age 18+, 21+ for interstate or hazmat.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDLA or CDLB) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration.

Drivers must manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200‑mile radius with no overnight stays. The role involves safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support. Success requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
