Position SummaryThe General Warehouse Laborer supports daily shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment activities in a high-volume distribution environment. This position is essential to ensuring accurate inventory handling, efficient order processing, and high-quality packing of aftermarket accessories for wholesale dealer and retail customers.
This hands-on role requires attention to detail, consistent productivity, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately pick parts and accessories using paper pick lists and/or scanning tools for parcel & LTL / FTL shipments.
- Prepare, pack, and secure products onto pallets or corrugated boxes for shipment, ensuring order accuracy and loading safety.
- Generate and apply shipping labels, packing slips, BOL s and documentation.
- Stage completed orders in designated shipping lanes and confirm outbound carrier pick-ups.
- Unload / Load inbound & outbound shipments using pallet jacks or forklifts, inspect deliveries, and confirm quantities against packing slips.
- Report damaged or short shipments and assist with returns processing.
- Label and shelve inventory in designated bin locations.
- Participate in cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory as needed.
- Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies or bin accuracy issues.
- Conduct pre-shipment inspections to verify part numbers, quantities, and product condition.
- Flag any quality or fitment concerns for supervisor review.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Assist with warehouse maintenance, equipment upkeep, and basic housekeeping.
- Follow company safety standards, lifting protocols, and PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of warehouse, shipping, or order fulfillment experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software or handheld scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and willingness to learn.
- Forklift Certified - preferred
- 1+ year knowledge of warehouse TMS shipping systems preferred.
