Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail‑oriented Warehouse Coordinator to support our medical device operations. This role is responsible for receiving, shipping, inventory movement, and overall inventory control within compliance to ISO 13485 standards and GMP requirements. The Warehouse Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, product traceability, and supporting production and shipping activities. This is a full‑time, hourly position, on‑site in Alpharetta, GA, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management
- Follow all GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 guidelines and company policies for material handling and storage.
- Support our inventory control specialist by performing cycle counts and physical inventory to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Manage stock levels, reorder points, and restocking processes.
- Prepare and package finished goods for distribution to our sterilization partner, 3PL, customers or intercompany, ensuring proper documentation and labeling (lot numbers, part numbers, serial numbers, barcodes).
- Warehouse Management
- Operate within a GMP environment.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehousing, including inbound receipts, internal on‑time fill rates, and truck mileage.
- Accurately label, store and pick materials in designated areas according to company procedures, FIFO or FEFO principles.
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas in accordance with 6S standards.
- Shipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming raw materials, finished goods and equipment, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Coordinate outbound shipments to customers or other facilities.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Transportation Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule transportation of goods, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on‑time delivery and resolve any transportation issues.
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
- Internal Logistics Coordination
- Deliver to our 3PL via company box truck.
- Plan and manage the internal movement of goods (incl. Kanban) within the warehouse, ensuring efficient flow between storage, production, and shipping areas.
- With the Supply Chain Manager, oversee the transfer of inventory between departments, ensuring timely availability of stock for order fulfillment or manufacturing.
- Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve services, and reduce costs.
- Act as an ERP (D365) key user for warehouse operations and maintain warehouse Master data.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Biology, Chemistry or related fields preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), CPM or APICS certification preferred.
- Experience
- 2–3 years of warehouse or inventory control experience, preferably in an ISO‑13485 regulated industry.
- Ability to pass a vehicle background check in order to drive company truck.
- Experience using an ERP or warehouse management system such as D365, SAP, Oracle, or Net Suite.
- Experience with regulatory environments that abide by GMP, FDA, or ISO 13485 standards.
- Skills
- Understanding of shipping requirements for domestic and international orders (labeling, packaging, documentation).
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and operate common warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Understanding of lean methodologies, Six Sigma tools, and 6S programs.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and software such as Excel, Power BI and Tableau.
- Travel Requirement
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Hourly Pay Rate
: $20 USD – $24.28 USD
