Starting Salary: $81,549 - $118,209 annually (including 25% geo modifier)
IA Stipend: 2,080
Sign-On Bonus: 12,500
Location:
Alpine, CA
Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) – Responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Reach Air Medical Services. Qualified to support our EC135 airframe.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
- Manage inventory checks, update equipment‑tracking logs, place replacement requests, and document part expenditures.
- Document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies and procedures and company information security standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the maintenance team and flight crew.
- Facilitate coordination between departments, vendors and team members through effective communication.
- Collaborate professionally with all allied health, public safety personnel, fellow AMTs and operations team.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years turbine‑powered helicopter experience
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance records, and planning
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on‑call rotations
- Compliance with FAA drug and alcohol testing program
- Ability to push/pull 100+ lbs and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- EC135 maintenance experience
- FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
- Experience under CFR Parts 91, 135 and 145
- Autopilot maintenance experience
- Avionics and electrical repair experience
