Primary Care Physician - Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Pay: $134.93-$183.84 per hour

Schedule: Full-time

We are looking to hire two Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physicians for an established community healthcare organization in Alpine, California.

This position is ideal for a physician who enjoys caring for adult and geriatric patients while working alongside an interdisciplinary clinical team. You will manage acute and chronic conditions, preventive care, transitions of care, and advanced care planning.

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose and manage acute medical conditions and chronic diseases
  • Provide preventive, curative, and rehabilitative care
  • Develop individualized treatment and care-management plans
  • Coordinate specialty referrals and transitions of care
  • Lead advanced goals-of-care discussions when appropriate
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
  • Provide skilled nursing and call coverage as assigned by the Medical Director
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for every patient encounter
  • Support quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives
  • Provide clinical guidance and supervision to members of the care team
Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Current DEA registration
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain privileges at designated hospitals and nursing facilities

Experience with geriatrics, chronic disease management, transitions of care, or palliative care is preferred. Procedural skills such as skin biopsy, lesion excision, suturing, and casting are also helpful but not required.
