Alpine ISD is a 3A District, with approximately 250 students enrolled in the Middle School, Grades 5 - 8, and approximately 850 students enrolled in the District.

Commitment: Full Time

• Serve as chief administrator for middle school campus, grades 5-8, with approximately 35 staff members.
• Provide positive leadership by investing in the professional growth of self and staff members.
• Provide a clear vision of continuous improvement.
• Understand current legislation as it pertains to the instructional program.
• Lead the recruitment, hiring, and placement of assigned staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Analyze data to identify critical priorities for campus.
• Plan for and ensure student supervision and campus safety.

Education/Certification: Master’s degree in educational administration;
Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate;
Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser - Preferred or able to obtain

• Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate data driven decision-making to ensure the success of instructional programs
• Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
• Ability to manage budgets
• Ability to coordinate campus functions

Salary Range: Based on Alpine ISD Salary Schedules, with supplements dependent upon credentials and experience. Range of $69,000 - $101,000.
