Position Type: Full‑time dual credit lecturer or adjunct instructor; role requires relocation to Eagle Pass.
Required Qualifications- A master’s degree in Psychology or a master’s in Social Science with at least 18 hours of graduate‑level Psychology coursework from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated college‑level teaching experience and a strong commitment to undergraduate education.
- Experience teaching online courses, preferably with dual‑credit and/or first‑generation students.
- U.S. work authorization that does not require employer sponsorship.
- Doctorate in Psychology or a related field, or nearing completion of a Ph.D.
- Experience teaching with a learning management system such as Blackboard.
- Experience teaching online synchronous and asynchronous courses.
- Familiarity with dual‑credit curriculum and academic standards.
- Teach PSY 1302 – Introduction to Psychology during Spring and Fall semesters, with a 5‑course load and 25‑student capacity.
- Use and update pre‑designed course shells and syllabi as needed.
- Conduct core assessments and provide required documentation at the end of each term.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and civil learning environment.
- Adhere to Sul Ross State University online standards for instructor presence, student engagement, and assessment.
- Integrate online technologies and disciplinary content to enhance relevance and accessibility.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude, compassion, and commitment that fosters student growth and effective collaboration with the university community.
- Assist with additional courses or duties as needed when dual‑credit enrollment falls below five courses per semester.
Position is security‑sensitive.
